Most startups die in the gap between “brilliant idea” and “wait, we actually built something”.
I'm Joan. I live in that gap.
While founders are sketching the future on whiteboards, I'm the one asking: Who's coding this? When do we test it? How do we know if anyone actually wants it? What happens when the lead engineer quits next Tuesday?
I don't manage projects, I untangle the human puzzles that kill them. The designer who won't compromise. The CEO who changes direction mid-sprint. The team that's been "90% done" for three months.
My job isn't to follow a methodology from some PM handbook. It's to look at the beautiful disaster of a startup and figure out how to make tomorrow less chaotic than today.
Because in the end, nobody remembers your tools. They remember whether you shipped.
